The phone, answered: Helloforward for hair salons

Helloforward is an answering agent for your business line. It is built on AI, it talks like a person, and it does the front-desk work: answers, books with the right stylist, texts back, leaves a note. Here it is on a salon's phone, using an invented salon called Studio Ember.

A call comes in with your hands in foils

Amara wants a cut and colour with Priya on Saturday. The desk phone rings, nobody is at the desk, and the line answers. It checks Priya's lane, books 10:30, notes it is a first colour on long hair, and texts Amara the time.

Home, while a call is on. The number, the clock, and the notes waiting under it.

The transcript, a minute later. First colour, long hair, consult first. Priya knows before Saturday.

It knows the menu, and who does what

It answers from what you told it once: services and prices, who does what, how long each takes, your cancellation policy. Then it fills in the columns you asked for.

  • “How much is a balayage on long hair, roughly?”

The range from your list, and the offer of a free consult. It never invents a price.

  • “I have to move my 2 o’clock tomorrow with Jules.”

Takes it as a message; your assistant offers two Friday times by text and moves it.

  • “Chào, tôi muốn đặt lịch cắt tóc và sấy.”

Answered in Vietnamese, trim and blow-dry booked for Thursday 5:30.

Texts, handled the same way

A text to your line gets the same care. Bookings get a confirmation, reminders go out the day before, and when you want to step in you type in the same thread.

Ring your own line, and it works for you

The line knows your number. Call the salon from your own phone and it becomes your assistant: who's booked tomorrow, remind me to reorder toner, who called while I was with the bride. Texting the line does the same, which is handy with gloves on.

Chloe, calling her own line. Tomorrow's six read back by stylist, toner on the list, one missed call named.

An assistant between clients

Every business gets an assistant of its own. Ask it in plain words: confirm tomorrow's clients, move Nadia's 2:00 to Friday, who's waiting on me. It reads the calendar and the call log, so it already knows.

Six confirmations out, four already back, one reschedule done by text.

Every chair

Add each stylist as a team member. Clients book with the person they want, each stylist sees their own lane, and each has an assistant of their own. Ten dollars a month a chair. Bookings sync both ways with Google Calendar if you use it.

The week, by chair. Priya's colour work in blue, Chloe's in orange, Jules in green, the consult dotted until it is confirmed.

Setting it up

I

Forward your line

Keep the salon number. Forward the calls nobody picks up, so the desk still rings first. Or take a new local number.

II

Describe the salon

Hours, services and prices, who does what, how long each service takes, your cancellation policy. A few minutes, once.

III

Call it yourself

Ring the line, book a cut with yourself, watch it land on the calendar. Change anything from the app.

Forwarding codes for every carrier are in this note. Studio Ember and everyone in these screens are invented; the screens are the real product.

The next call is taken care of.

Set up in minutes. First month free, no card needed.

Start your free month

Or hear it answer first. It runs a demo plumbing company; yours would answer for your business.
